The Human Sciences Research Council (HSRC), which is heading up a nationwide Covid-19 antibody survey, has reiterated that the survey is not aimed at vaccinating people.
The HSRC had to emphasise its objective after fieldworkers were chased away from communities while conducting the survey.
The survey is in partnership with Epicentre, the National Institute for Communicable Diseases (NICD), the National Health Laboratory Service (NHLS) and the South African Medical Research Council (SAMRC).
