New survey found Apple’s iPhone is the most popular phone in Vietnam and Largan enters new avenue in Apple’s supply chain

Digitimes reported today that Market research company Q&Me released a survey that interviewed nearly 600 Vietnamese people. Apple is the most popular smartphone brand in Vietnam. About 46% of respondents believe that Apple is the most popular in Vietnam.

 

The Q&Me report more specifically stated that the “iPhone has the highest NPS score (75%), followed by Samsung and Oppo (64% and 41% respectively). The other brands have the similar NPS.”

 

The report further pointed out that “iPhone and Samsung has the similar demand although Apple has higher rate, other brands attract the users by the affordable price and ease of use. Overheating and short battery life are the two items that Vietnamese are not happy with.

 

iPhone has the strong images of good quality, luxurious and proud to have. Samsung is strong in innovation. Among the others, Vinsmart have a positive image in innovative.”

As for smartphone brand recognition, Samsung and Apple ng were tops with 96% and 94% respectively.

 

On another front, Digitmes is reporting today that Largan has entered the Apple VCM supply chain and has advantages in vertical integration of lenses. Beyond lenses, Largan will enter a new Apple supply chain segment related to Apple’s iPhone voice coil motor (VCM).
