In April 2000, Asia’s first event institute – NIEM the Institute of Event Management gave the first Indianised course on event management and now completes 20 years of a glorious period of achievement and service to one the largest entertainment industry – the Indian event management industry. For the first time, our students could professionally study events and then join as completely trained professionals.

The students were ready and polished as along with excellent classroom teaching and workshops by eminent event personalities, NIEM gave them huge training on India’s topmost live events and also backed them to organize their own events to learn how to do a complete event, this specialized training on live events happened for the first time in the world for an event course. This made NIEM students fully ready for placements. NIEM has given skilled event managers and raised the standard of events in our country and gave a very dynamic and elite outlook to events in India. NIEM’s efforts have been well received by the event industry, students, parents and teachers. The media has come out and praised these efforts.

A lot of efforts, research and hard work has gone into making NIEM the brand it is. NIEM would ever be thankful for the creative and elite event industry which gave practical experience to the students, the faculty with its rich knowledge of the event industry, the reputed speakers who took efforts to guide the NIEM students and the press, students, teachers and parents who supported this effort. Says the dean Dr Hoshi Bhiwandiwalla that ‘NIEM will always be grateful for all the help and support we got from event industry and many others, but NIEM grew as an unbeatable brand only because year after year the NIEM students played a big role to make NIEM the event leaders that we are’.

NIEM has a lot of plans to improve, innovate and research and make better syllabus, more workshops, increased training, great placements and every effort to support and cater to the needs of the mega Indian event and entertainment industry. NIEM seeks your support to join this gigantic movement to make India the centre hub of world events and entertainment.
