About this role
BlackRock’s Corporate Strategy team is responsible for positioning BlackRock to generate robust, long-term growth and create shareholder value. The team formulates and executes the firm’s vision and strategy, shapes business level strategies and drives large cross-functional initiatives for the firm. The team also partners closely with the Corporate Development team, which is responsible for sourcing, assessing and executing acquisitions, investments, divestitures and partnerships based on BlackRock’s strategic priorities.
Description: BlackRock’s Corporate Strategy Group is looking for a Vice President to join the team, based New York. This person will partner with senior business leaders on a range of critical firm initiatives. Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the development of firm-wide growth strategies
- Partner with senior management and business unit leaders to determine strategic objectives and opportunities to meet these goals including (but not limited to); market entry strategies, business prioritization, and assessing strategic investments
- Communicate strategic priorities and execution plans across the firm via presentations, meetings, written communications
- Opportunity to work with Corporate Strategy leadership to craft team agenda and actively contribute to team talent-related projects

Qualifications:
- The ideal candidate will currently be operating in a senior level in-house strategy role within financial services or from strategy consulting firms serving financial services clients
- Asset management industry and financial technology knowledge is preferred
- Experience leading and running project teams
- Proven problem-solving, quantitative and analytical skills; familiarity with financial statements, valuation and financial modeling
