Welcome to SB Nation Reacts, a survey of fans across the NCAA. Each week, we send out questions to the most plugged in Iowa Hawkeyes fans, and fans across the country. Sign up here to join Reacts. NOTE: This poll was conducted prior to this Saturday’s games.

With nearly half of the Power Five conferences yet to start the season, including our very own Hawkeyes, it’s difficult to say who is really the best team in the country. But for those that have started already, it’s the regulars at the top of the national polls with a few exceptions for teams that have suffered embarrassing losses early in the year.

In the latest SB Nation Reacts survey, fans were asked who the best team in the country is among those that have already started playing. The Clemson Tigers and Alabama Crimson Tide jumped well ahead of the field.

Clemson will almost certainly have the biggest test of that group this week as they face No. 7 Miami Hurricanes. But both Georgia and Florida have Top 25 matchups on their hands.

The Clemson-Miami game was voted as the most anticipated matchup of the slate this weekend.

You can find the full listing of today’s games in our weekly viewing guide here.

Closer to home, the Hawkeyes are still two weeks away from the first game of the 2020 season. As the opener draws closer, Iowa fans are mixed on their excitement for the team. 79 percent of fans said they believe Iowa is headed in the right direction, a dip from 86 percent last week after the Hawkeyes confirmed starting LB Djimon Colbert has opted out of the season. It will be interesting to see how things trend next week after the media availability this week.
