Among the many other plans that Niantic has in the works for next month in Pokémon Go Trainers can also look forward to a special event featuring Nincada and others! Read on for all the details below!

Of the many creatures already released in Niantic’s Pokémon Go Nincada may be one of the most elusive and difficult to find. Good news for Trainers is that that is all set to change with an unusual upcoming event in the mobile title.

Niantic has announced that they will be featuring a mysterious weekend event which will feature a “brand new special Story Event” as well as opportunity to get multiple creatures such as Nincada, Shelmet, and Karrablast. While Nincada will be appearing in the wild and hatching more from 5km Eggs, Karrablast and Shelmet will be hatching from 5km eggs. Nincada has the potential of either appearing in the wild or hatching as a shiny variant so keep your eyes peeled!

Stardust hunters will be pleased to know that this event is also featuring double the Stardust intake on both catching and hatching pocket monsters. You can take a look at the full list of features for the upcoming mysterious event below.

Features

  • Normal-, Fire-, Water-, Electric-, and Ice-type Pokémon will be appearing more often in the wild.
  • Nincada will also be available! It will be appearing in the wild and hatching more often from 5 km Eggs. If you’re lucky, you might encounter or hatch a Shiny one!
  • Karrablast and Shelmet will be hatching more often from 5 km Eggs.
  • One-star to four-star Raid Battles throughout the weekend will feature various Bug- or Steel-type Pokémon.
