OBG Launches Global CEO Survey

March 4 2020

Research and advisory company Oxford Business Group (OBG) has launched its first Global Survey of CEOs.

Oliver CornockOBG, which has a presence in more than 30 countries, provides business intelligence to subscribers through multiple platforms. Its range of products includes Economic News and Views; OBG Events and Conferences; Global Platform, which hosts exclusive video interviews; The Report publications; and a Consultancy division. OBG began producing CEO Surveys in 2016, to offer a snapshot of business sentiment in the Asian, LatAm, African and Middle East economies it covers – termed the ‘Yellow Slice’ markets, in reference to the firm’s corporate colour.

For its new Global CEO Survey, OBG interviewed around 7,000 international execs from across a wide range of sectors face-to-face. According to feedback, respondents identified leadership as the skill most in demand within their sector. However, regional divides were also evident, with interviewees in Latin America and the Middle East ranking research and development second in terms of competencies needed in the workplace, while those in Asia and Africa opted for engineering.

Oliver Cornock (pictured), Editor-in-Chief, said the research tool had played a key role since its launch by providing licence-holders with an understanding of how business leaders in the Yellow Slice markets viewed their own environments from the standpoint of growth, taxation, regulation, access to credit and availability of labour.
