TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – Alvara Research Center founder and CEO, Hasanuddin Ali, said law enforcement and corruption eradication add to the seven aspects in President Jokowi and VP Ma’ruf Amin’s 100-days in Office that people are dissatisfied with.

In the recent Alvara Research Center survey, 63.6 percent of respondents are satisfied by the administration’s law enforcement while 61.5 percent of respondents are satisfied with Jokowi administration’s attempts in eradicating corruption.

The seven aspects that scored rather low in January 2020: improving family economy (64.7 percent); law enforcement (63.6 percent); workforce welfare (62.2 percent); corruption eradication (61.5 percent); the ease to find jobs (60.8 percent); staple food price stability (56.2 percent); and overcoming poverty (51.9 percent).

“In 2019, the public’s lowest satisfaction level was only in economic terms, but in 2020, the law enforcement and the enforcement of corruption are included in the lowest satisfactory levels,” said Hasanuddin in his written statement on Thursday, February 13.

The low satisfactory level of corruption eradication corresponds to the majority of people who reject the revision on the KPK Law that accounts for 61.3 percent. This itself is one of the many contributors to the eroding public satisfactory level of President Jokowi and VP Ma’ruf Amin’s first 100-days in office.

The Alvara Research Center survey was held from the end of January to early February 2020 on 1,000 respondents over 13 Indonesian provinces with a 3.16 percent margin of error and a 95 percent confidence level.
