Samsung will unveil its Galaxy S20 series and Galaxy Bloom in the upcoming event which is scheduled for February 2020. During Qualcomm Tech Summit, Xiaomi has announced with Mi 10 series, that they will launch the world’s first Snapdragon 865 powered phone. If Xiaomi wants to launch the Snapdragon 865 powered phone, then they have to launch it before February 11. Rumors suggest that there will be two devices in the Mi 10 series; the MI 10 and Mi 10 Pro.
But there are some reports that Xiaomi will launch the Mi 10 series during Mid-February, to be more specific, reports suggest that they will launch in between February 19 – February 25. This is much later than Samsung’s event and Xiaomi Mi 10 series will lose the first launch of the Snapdragon 865 platform. But yesterday, Xiaomi’s product manager Wang Teng Thomas shared a Weibo post, which seemed to be deleted quickly. However, the screenshot of the deleted Weibo post is available now. This screenshot reveals the pricing and launch details of the device.
Wang said that the buyers can go with Xiaomi MiCC9 Pro and Redmi K30 if they needed a smartphone under 3500 Yuan. He also added that users who’re looking for a premium phone can wait. This suggests that the Mi 10 series would be priced at a premium segment. The Xiaomi Mi 9 Pro 5G was launched with a price tag of 3,699 Yuan. Some reports suggest that the Mi 10 series would be priced between 3500 Yuan and 5000 Yuan. Regarding launch details, Xiaomi may launch the device after the upcoming Spring Festival of China i.e after Jan 25.
Mi 10 series Specifications
They were reports suggesting that the Mi 10 series would sport an AMOLED display with a punch-hole display. Popular tipster and designer Benjamin Geskin has shared the render of Xiaomi Mi 10 based on the rumours. Last week, a photo of the MI 10 was surfaced online. This image reveals that the device will sport a vertical quad rear camera setup.
There are reports that the Mi 10 would sport a 90hz refresh rate display. The Mi 10 will feature a quad camera setup consisting of a 64MP sony imx 686 sensor coupled with a secondary 20MP ultra wide sensor and tertiary 12MP telephoto sensor and finally 5MP depth sensor. The device may pack a 4800 mAh battery with 30W fast charging support.
While the Mi 10 Pro sport a 120hz refresh rate display. The Mi 10 Pro will also feature a quad camera setup similar to Mi 10. But here, the primary sensor being a 100MP one, rest being the same. The device is expected to pack a smaller 4500 mAh battery with support for 66W fast charging support. Additionally, the devices will have support for fast wireless charging and fast wireless reverse charging.
