NEW DELHI: Consumer Durables shares were trading higher in Friday’s session.
Shares of VIP Industries (up 2.22 per cent) , Whirlpool of India (up 1.05 per cent) , Symphony (up 0.69 per cent) , Voltas (up 0.46 per cent) , Blue Star (up 0.31 per cent) , TTK Prestige (up 0.25 per cent) and PC Jeweller (up 0.21 per cent) were among the top gainers.
The S&P BSE Consumer Durables index was trading 0.13 per cent down at 24662.22 around 11:38 am.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 42.10 points at 12240.1 , while the BSE Sensex was down 132.17 points at 41,494.47.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 13 were trading in the green, while 37 were in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, SAIL, GMR Infra, Tata Motors, HDFC Bank, Hind Copper, ONGC and NCC were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
