Just as the 2020 NHL Winter Classic came to a close the announcement came for next year’s venue. The State of Hockey will host the outdoor spectacular at Target Field in Minneapolis.
This will be the first time the Minnesota Wild will play host to the Winter Classic. And only the second outdoor game in Minnesota when they played the Chicago Blackhawks at TCF Bank Stadium in 2016.
According to the NHL, the outdoor game on New Year’s Day 2021 will be the 13th NHL Winter Classic and the 31st NHL regular-season outdoor game overall.
Ticket information and the Wild’s opponent, as well as additional details for the 2021 Bridgestone NHL Winter Classic®, will be provided at a future date.
Minnesota Wild Season Ticket Members, suite and premium seat holders will be given the first opportunity to purchase tickets.
