The famous menswear brand Lawrencepur will be abandoned by Dawood Lawrencepur Limited (DLL). It is abandoning it to the associated company Sach International Limited.
The company’s board of directors has approved the disposal of Lawrencepur brand to the associated company, according to a stock filing.
The sale and purchase deal will
also include the transfer of operations to Sach International Limited. But the
control will still be in the hands of the previous directors who belonged to
the Dawood family -Shahzada Dawood, Abdul Samad Dawood, Ayesha Dawood, Shafiq
Ahmed, etc.
Back in 1954, Lawrencepur started its operations. The aim was to create a global brand name in men’s wear. Today, Lawrencepur has standing in all the major cities of Pakistan via its outlets in the leading shopping centers.
Sach International, the buyer of
the brand is a listed firm in the textile sector. It is located in Lahore,
Pakistan.
