Research conducted by Geauga Park District staff will be on display during two informative virtual programs this fall.

On Nov. 22, from 3:30 to 4:15 p.m., those interested can join in for “Research in Our Parks: On Gossamer Wings” as Naturalist Linda Gilbert features some of the colorful gossamer-winged butterflies from this past spring and summer, according to a news release. She will also share the results of surveys conducted at Frohring Meadows and Burton Wetlands Nature Preserve.

Then on Dec. 12, from 2:30 to 3:15 p.m., people can learn about discoveries made during dragonfly and damselfly surveys from this past spring and fall during “Research in Our Parks: Dragons & Damsels,” the release stated Gilbert will also host this program, sharing results from the three-year statewide dragonfly and damselfly survey that concluded in 2019.

Both programs use the free WebEx platform to present. All someone needs to do is register and include their email in order to receive the link to join the program that day, the release stated.

To register for these and other virtual programs – including one presented by retired naturalist Dan Best with Blackbrook Audubon Society on Nov. 17 as well as one about Earth’s magnetic field on Nov. 27 – visit www.geaugaparkdistrict.org and click Programs & Events.
