Senior Hires for Data Firm Wavicle

November 5 2020

Chicago-based analytics firm Wavicle Data Solutions has announced four hires for its leadership team: Patrick McDonald, Director of Data Science; Dave Abatangelo, Director of Data Visualization; Anthony Lempelius, VP of Sales; and Heidi Bonjean, Director of Marketing.

Naveen VenkatapathiWavicle’s offer includes data integration services, cloud migration consulting, dashboard development and data analytics consulting, combining expertise in data engineering and architecture with artificial intelligence and machine learning. Clients are focused in the healthcare, restaurant, hospitality, financial services and CPG sectors.

The new arrivals will support the firm’s ‘aggressive growth’, expanding the sales and marketing operations and formalizing leadership around specific high-demand areas such as data science and data visualization.

McDonald takes responsibility for developing and delivering advanced analytics solutions for clients with a focus on AI for customer and operational analytics. His c.25 years of experience come from advanced analytics and data science at the likes of Walmart, McDonald’s, Monsanto, Caterpillar, Apple and Tyson. Most recently he was Senior Manager of Applied Intelligence and Data Science at Accenture, and Chief Architect for Advanced Analytics at Clarity Insights.

Abatangelo will lead the company’s data visualization and dashboard consulting services efforts. Prior to joining Wavicle he was Director of Business Intelligence at EVRAZ North America; and earlier he held strategic data management and business intelligence positions with Slalom, Oracle and Allstate.

Lempelius will build and enhance the company’s sales processes, strengthen its strategic partner network, and define go-to-market strategies. He joins from Talend, where he was a Channel Manager and sales executive; earlier he built and grew technology sales organizations at firms including Infor, Exact and Razorysnc; and he founded and ran Elite Ambition, a marketing and sales consulting firm specializing in digital platforms.

Bonjean will lead Wavicle’s strategic marketing efforts including strengthening brand awareness, and building a robust thought leadership and content program. She joins with extensive B2B marketing experience across a range of industries, from market research and travel to technology distribution. Most recently, she led external and internal global messaging strategy for RoomIt, a start-up division of CWT.
