WALLINGFORD, Conn. (AP) — Amphenol Corp. (APH) on Wednesday reported third-quarter net income of $346.6 million.
On a per-share basis, the Wallingford, Connecticut-based company said it had profit of $1.12. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring gains, came to $1.09 per share.
The results topped Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of eight analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 87 cents per share.
The maker of fiber-optic products posted revenue of $2.32 billion in the period, also topping Street forecasts. Five analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $2.01 billion.
For the current quarter ending in December, Amphenol expects its per-share earnings to range from 98 cents to $1.
The company expects full-year earnings in the range of $3.59 to $3.61 per share.
Amphenol shares have climbed nearly 6% since the beginning of the year, while the Standard & Poor’s 500 index has climbed nearly 7%. The stock has risen 14% in the last 12 months.
