It hasn’t been long since we saw the latest rendition of the Galaxy Buds: The Galaxy Buds+. These were in direct competition with the Airpods Pro from Apple. Now though, an article from WinFuture.de gives light to some photos and renders of the upcoming TWS headphones from Samsung. The article was tweeted about by Roland Quandt as well. Getting this traction, there might be some weight to their authenticity as well.

Samsung Galaxy Buds of the next generation.
Full re-design w/ massive changes.
Codename ‘Bean’.

Pics/renders based on actual 3D design data used to make them. These launch in a few months. In Evaluation phase right now, so design could still change. https://t.co/UIk6KaYHBh

According to the article, these are called, Project Bean. That has everything to do with the shape of the render that we have seen. It looks like a kidney bean which actually seems quite a natural shape for the ear canal. Meanwhile, the previous versions were called the Project Popcorn. Again, this sort of makes it quite clear that the shape is related to the name as well.

Talking about the practicality of the design, the headphones are supposed to latch on to the bottom and top of the ear opening. The speakers would be directed into the ear canal. About the speakers, there will be two in particular. While one would be for the treble and the low end, the other would be for the clarity and the details of the media. The idea is that similar to a subwoofer.

The article comment on the possible noise cancellation potential of these headphones. Given how they would rest in the ear, they would not passively block all the sound and thus, Apple would have the advantage there, when competing. The sample has been reportedly 3D printed and it shows that the headphones would not protrude much outside the ear.

Currently, there isn’t much known about the battery in the upcoming device. It is assumed though that it would debut with the Note 20 lineup.
