Residents may soon receive a phone call to participate in the annual Community Satisfaction Survey carried out by the Victorian Government.

The state-wide survey is being carried out by JWS Research and National Field Services on behalf of Local Government Victoria to gauge how residents think Council has performed over a variety of fields over the last 12 months.

This survey is carried out across Victoria every year, with the majority of all Victorian Councils participating.

Surveying will commence in late February and will run for approximately three weeks. Researchers will call a random selection of Baw Baw residents until they receive 400 valid responses.

Researchers must comply with the guidelines of the Australian Communications and Media Authority, stating they can call between 8:30am – 8:30pm on weekdays and 9am – 5:30pm on weekends. They may contact residents on the ‘do not call’ register as they are carrying out market research.

Results from each annual survey are published on Council’s website and Annual Report. To see previous results, go to Community Satisfaction Survey or Know Your Council.

As noted by Mayor Cr Danny Goss

“Each year, Baw Baw Shire along with most other local government areas in Victoria participate in this survey to gain valuable insights and assess year-on-year trends. Survey results are used to better understand community needs and inform forward planning.”

“To ensure researchers get a representative group of residents, they may ask to speak to someone in the household of a specific age or gender. We encourage anyone contacted to participate, however anyone who feels uncomfortable should feel free to decline.”
