An investigation is underway after a Boeing 737 aircraft reportedly crashed moments after take-off from Jakarta in Indonesia.
Data from flight tracking website FlightRadar24 shows the aircraft climbing to an altitude of around 10,000 feet, before rapidly descending to just over 200 feet, and then disappearing off radar.
Sriwijaya Air flight SJ182 was just four minutes into its flight from Jakarta to Pontianak when the incident happened.
The aircraft involved was a Boeing 737-500, and was more than twenty years old. There is no link to the recent issues with the more modern Boeing 737 MAX aircraft.
